OUR BEGINNINGS

The SMARTPLAY (formerly American Baseball Foundation), is a 501 c (3), founded in 1994 by James R. Andrews M.D. and David Osinski with the vision of educating the elementary-age youth through sports-based academics.

In the early 2000s, David Osinski and his team set out to grow the organization internationally to the children of China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Viet Nam, Pakistan, Spain, and Costa Rica, teaching them the game of baseball through innovative programs that range from coach education to kids’ clinics.
